What does the DOT Exam consist of?

Medical history - the doctor will ask about your medical history, medications, tabacco use, and illegal drug use.
Physical Exam - height, weight, blood pressure, pulse rate, and general appearance. The doctor will examine your eyes, mouth, ears, heart, spine and neurological health.
Vision and Hearing - visual acuity and forceful whispering test
Urinalysis - checking for protein, blood, and sugar

How should I prepare for my exam?

Wear comfortable clothing and bring all applicable documentation which includes:

Photo identification
A list of medications
Corrective lenses and hearing aids
Medical clearances letters and recent testing documents (such as stress tests, sleep test results, CPAP compliance, HbA1C readings, etc.)
